The Importance of Being a Visual Learner

SIT Basketball training values using visual technology to aid in the development process. We have found this not only speeds things up, but it greatly improves the players basketball IQ and overall understanding of their skills. Below we will assess the benefits of being a visual learner when it comes to basketball training.


Benefits of visual learning:


  1. Enhanced Retention: Visual learners tend to have excellent memory recall when they can associate information with visual cues.

  2. Improved Comprehension: Visual learners often have an easier time understanding complex concepts when they are presented visually. They can grasp the relationships between different ideas and visualize how they fit together, leading to a deeper comprehension of the subject matter.

  3. Effective Organization: Visual learners have a natural inclination towards organizing information visually.

  4. Improved Communication: Visual learners often excel in communicating their ideas to others through visual means.

  5. Efficient Learning: Visual learners often find it easier to learn new topics or skills when presented with visual materials. They can quickly absorb information through visual demonstrations, or videos, which can expedite the learning process and make it more efficient.


We've found that many of our athletes are able to learn quicker and retain more information when able to view live video and see their skills. They receive the benefits of learning visually and are better able to improve their skills because of it.
